Singapore – The Singapore-based blockchain company TomoChain confirmed its partnership with Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training. As a result, they will provide DLT services, and all student certifications, especially in High School and Higher Education, will be uploaded to the TomoChain blockchain network.
TomoChain entering a Vietnamese market is a huge step for the Singapore-based company since the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will employ TomoChain‘s blockchain for the next years starting from the 2021 school year. After the trial period, all MOET granted diplomas and certifications would gradually enter the National Qualifications Archives System. From that point, TomoChain will digitalize everything.
According to Vietnam’s ministry, there are about 1.5 million diplomas issued in the country every year. Therefore, the company’s partnership with TomoChain is an innovative and significant change in Vietnam’s educational system.
The training institutions are currently responsible for managing and issuing all qualifications, making the verification process more time-consuming and prone to human errors.
According to the Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc, the country’s diploma and certificate management are Vietnam’s problems. It needs to be resolved by technology immediately. TomoChain partnership with Vietnam is very significant for the whole country and cost-efficient for the diploma management system and education in general.
After the German-based company Lition utilized TomoChain‘s technology, the Singaporean blockchain has outlined it as a significant milestone. With this partnership, TomoChain has expanded its services and reached more potential clients worldwide. TomoChain Founder and CEO revealed that they are continuously exploring new ways to achieve the qualification transitions from their current format for over a year. He also added that TomoChain‘s partnership with Vietnam would eliminate counterfeit diplomas and certifications, such its system meticulously facilitates the issuance and verification processes.
